I write romantic comedies while focussing on muted societal issues. You know, dinner table discussions such as grief, infertility and why you're still single. Basically, the s*&t we feel embarrassed to talk about. Ironically, I hate confrontation and feelings, so I write about them instead. I like to tackle our taboo's in exactly the manner I would discuss them – indirectly, in that classic, British, dry humour style.
